Satoshi Kanazawa of Psychology Today posts that in the past, those who survived childhood could expect to live to sixty or seventy. That’s roughly in line with what I said in “Life-expectancy in the 1800s not as bad as reported.” Of course, he wrote that back in 2008, so perhaps I agree with him, but whatever — we agree.
